Your lights are on, but you’re not home
Your mind is not your own
Your heart sweats, your body shakes
Another kiss is what it takes
You can’t sleep, you can’t eat
There’s no doubt, you’re in deep
Your throat is tight, you can’t breathe
Another kiss is all you need
Whoa, you like to think that you’re immune to the stuff, oh yeah
It’s closer to the truth to say you can’t get enough
You know you’re gonna have to face it, you’re addicted to love…
Might as well face it, you’re addicted to love…
~Robert Palmer
After blogging all last month on nothing but LOVE, I realized I am, in fact, addicted to love. It got me in its grips. And I happily surrendered.
So I’ve decided to continue on with this theme of love but we’re also gonna include some spring cleaning since it’s about that time of year. Time to reevaluate certain things, and I’m not just talking about the state of our closets (although that’s not any less important.) Often times smaller truths reveal larger truths.
But we’re gonna shake off the cobwebs of winter’s cocoon and streamline. In this day and age, with all our many responsibilities we need to make sure we’re spending our time wisely. We don’t have time to mess around.
This means taking stock of our relationships.
Our relationships with our partners.
Our friends.
Our work.
Our minds… Since that’s where everything begins right?
Oh, but don’t worry. We’ll still have a lotta fun with romance here at Threadbare Gypsy Soul. After all, it’s often the best part. [I love my job!]Â
So hope you’ll join me in this LOVE Revolution. Any ideas on what you’d love to read about, just let me know. I’m open to suggestion. In fact, I encourage it 😉
Have a great weekend!

So happy you have found this place in your heart…you deserve it!
XOXO

Thank you so much Kary 🙂 XOXO
Between your loving nature and your good looks, some young man is really missing the boat by not pulling you onto his white horse and riding off into the sunset with you.
What a sweet compliment David. Thank you. In due time I’m sure 😉
That IS a sweet compliment!
Kudos for quoting Robert Palmer 🙂
Ready for some spring cleaning so lets see where this love revolution is rolling!
Woo hoo!!
I found you via Donna Newton. She’s a hoot that girl! And I am a sucker for anyone who loves Pepe’! I also am a sucker for Rober Palmer. And I am addicted to L.O.V.E.! So I’ll be checking this series out Ingrid. 🙂
Awesome Karen! So nice to meet you 🙂 Nothin’ quite like love is there?!
Have you read the book, The Love Revolution, by Joyce Meyer? I love spring cleaning. It’s the time for new possibilities to take shape.
Funny you say that. I just bought it last week! Weird 😉 Did you like it?
Here’s to new possibilities!
I just picked up a copy of it and I saw the title on your blog and it made me want to push it to the top of my tbr list, but right now I am reading her “How to be a Confident Woman.”
Hello, I’m following Karen McFarland over here!
Great post, Ingrid. Have a peek at The Virginity Project (it’s not exactly what it sounds like!) There are a lot of lovely, sweet, funny and uplifting stories on there from men and women and Kate Monro has done a fabulous job with the project. http://virginityproject.typepad.com/
Spring cleaning? Yikes. I had a nail spitting, head spinning moment in our garage yesterday, the husband ducked for cover. This happens every year at this time.
Doesn’t it?! I think it’s just a natural process at this time of year. It’s engrained in us 🙂 I’ll pop on over and check out your project 🙂
Great blog, Inge!!
love,
Mom
Thanks MOM 🙂
